Reflexology & Maternity Reflexology

The origins of modern reflexology date back thousands of years and various forms of this were practised by ancient civilisations. Current research continues to demonstrate its effectiveness for particular conditions. People try reflexology to address all kinds of health issues. It is a fascinating therapy based on the principle that reflex points on the soles, tops, and sides of the feet correspond to areas throughout the body and that manipulation of these reflex points can help to balance the flow of energy within the body and allow the body to heal and rebalance itself. I work on the reflex points on the feet using specialised massage techniques. Reflexology can also be carried out on hands. It is a truly relaxing complementary therapy.

Maternity (Pregnancy) Reflexology

I am qualified to provide maternity reflexology (for women throughout pregnancy, labour and postnatally). Reflexology can help you manage your symptoms during pregnancy, labour and beyond. It is recommended that you receive at least 2 treatments before trying reflexology at full term. Please contact me to discuss labour assistance reflexology. Postnatally I can visit you at home so you don't have to leave your newborn (or you can bring them with you if you prefer to come to my treatment room) and you can continue to cuddle and feed them throughout treatment if you wish.
