Aromatherapy harnesses the pure properties of plants, using their essential oils in a versatile complementary therapy. The ancient Egyptians, Romans and Greeks were among the first to appreciate the benefits of essential oils. Scientific studies have since confirmed that essential oils can be absorbed via the skin and mucous membranes and reach the organs through the body's circulatory system. I work with a wide range of oils to suit all tastes (or noses!). Following consultation I will select a blend of essential oils to suit you, which is usually blended with a carrier oil before applying to the skin using massage. I can also supply your personalised blend incorporated in to other products for home use.
The aim of aromatherapy is to treat the whole person by helping to restore harmony between mind, body and spirit. Visit the FHT website and learn more about aromatherapy and the role of the aromatherapist.
